Did something a little different on yesterday’s bike ride… Wekiwa, May 25, 2011.

For some reason yesterday morning I had even more energy than usual and I was itching to get out on the trails and put the hammer down. I decided to bike over to Wekiwa forest instead of drive because it’s been awhile since I’ve done that and I wanted to get some road miles in. Wasp attack! At least 5 wasp stings.

Last night just before bed I accidentally disturbed a large paper wasp nest that I did not see in the dark. Man, those little guys were really pissed! I was instantly attacked and stung at least five times all around my lower right bicep. Wasp stings hurt, but I don’t find them to be incredibly painful. Fun weekend; Pre-vacation diet plans; Mountain biking this morning. Relaxing out back with Lisa and her parents.
