I had a terrific leg workout yesterday afternoon! In fact, it was one of the best leg workouts I’ve had since my cut ended more than 20 weeks ago. Rode hard for 18.3 miles; New sites and sounds (heard a big cat out there!) The first Little Blue Herron I've seen out here!

I was especially excited about mountain biking yesterday because I got to transport my bike to the trailhead in my new truck. I found that I could lay the bike in the truck bed (which has a bed liner) and then close/lock the hard tonneau cover for a perfect fit. 2011 maintenance weekly progress report: week #20 Myotape

Week #20 of my 2011 maintenance program is complete, and it’s time for my weekly progress report. My goal is to complete 2011 without ever rising above 10% body fat. Got me a truck. My transformation to full-on redneck is complete!

I might buy a truck this weekend; Serious mountain biking in Florida. My new truck?

I’ve never really liked strapping bikes to the back of my SLK-350. Even though I go to great lengths to make sure the trunk mount is securely attached to the car, I’ve been very reluctant to go to some of the more distant trails. 32.3 hot, humid, muddy and FUN miles at Wekiwa yesterday. Bike on a Trail shot for August 24, 2011.

I had a muddy good time yesterday! I did a total of 32.3 miles, it was hotter than hell and the humidity was stifling. Flank pain and now abdominal tightness: guess I’m going to the doc.

I really hate going to the doctor, but I think a trip in the near future is unavoidable.
