Bike maintenance area almost complete!

Last night I made a tremendous amount of progress on the new bike maintenance section of the garage. I’m extremely happy with how things are shaping up. Having an organized area where I can work on my bikes makes the chore of maintaining the bikes much more enjoyable and far less frustrating. I took a teaser photograph this morning, and I’ll be posting a very detailed article very soon.

At this point everything is pretty much done, and I’m just waiting for the workbench to arrive. It’s a very basic workbench: 4 feet by 2.5 feet, Masonite top and a a single 12″ deep shelf underneath. That’s really all I need. I was unable to find anything locally, so I had to order the workbench from Home Depot online. Home Depot, in my experience, usually take about 3 or 4 months to ship, and then there’s a 64% chance that the workbench will arrive looking like it was dropped from the top of a parking garage and then run over by a convoy of big rigs. We’ll see.

In other news, my Cotton Carrier DSLR rig arrived yesterday! I’ve not had a chance to mess with it yet, but I’m going to get it set up today. I’m not riding today because I have a few tasks that I must get done this morning, but I’ll be riding tomorrow and am looking forward to posting my thoughts on the Cotton Carrier system.

Have a great Saturday!
