Almond Milk

Almond Milk

Almond Milk

Recipe for completely unprocessed, non-dairy almond milk.

  • 2 cups raw almonds
  • filtered water
  • 6 large dates

  • Soak almonds in filtered water overnight (8 hrs).
  • Put 1 cup soaked almonds in blender with 3 cups filtered water (water used to soak almonds works best).
  • Add 2 large dates to blender.
  • Blend well.
  • Using a 1 gallon paint straining bag (50 cents at Lowe’s/Home Depot), strain the liquid into a pitcher. Wring out the bag very well, getting all the moisture possible out.
  • Repeat the process until Almonds are gone.

Yield: 1/2 – 3/4 gallon. 2 cups raw almonds will become approx 3 cups soaked. Save the ground up almonds. Freezes well, works great in oatmeal, converts to flower, etc (Google “uses for almond meal”).
