Weight training and supplements for my upcoming cut.

My home gym.

My home gym.

While I’m cutting I’m not going to change my current weight training program much at all. I’ll be doing a three day split, as follows:

Monday: Legs
Wednesday: Chest/Delts/Triceps
Friday: Back/Biceps

Almost all of the exercises I’ll be doing will be compound exercises, some of which will be Olympic lifts. I will be doing practically no isolation exercises. I’ll be doing a mix of moderate weight/high rep training and very heavy/low rep work.

As for my supplements, very basic:

Nitrean protein powder

Progress comes from hard work and a clean diet, not from a pill.

Of course I’ll be publicly tracking my nutrition and stats on JSF BodyShop while I’m cutting.

I’m dealing with some work issues this morning, so I’ve got to cut this short. Enjoy your Saturday!

  1. Nice to see a sparse supplement list. Just to confirm: are these the only supplements you find *really* worth it? I’m surprised that creatine is missing.

I’m just now experimenting with BCAAs, thanks to At Large’s sale. I suppose they’re worth it?

    • IMO there are certainly other useful supplements apart from those I’ll be using on my cut. For example, glucosamine/chondroitin/MSM, fish oil, EAAs, creatine, AtLarge’s ETS and AtLarge’s RESULTS (just to name a few) have all been helpful to me at one time or another.
