Lazy weekend, ready to hit the weights this morning! This was me this yesterday.

This past weekend the most athletic thing I did was climb the stairs in my house a few times. I think this was the first weekend all year long that I didn’t do some form of physical activity, but I guess I needed it. 2011 maintenance weekly progress report: week #35 Slim Guide Skin Fold Caliper

Week #35 of my 2011 maintenance program is complete, and it’s time for my weekly progress report. My goal is to complete 2011 without ever rising above 10% body fat. Dietary differences between 2010 and 2011; Vacation announcement. Chicken breasts don't have to be boring!

My diet has been very clean all year long, and my splurge meals have been fairly infrequent (perhaps an average of one per week). When I was maintaining last year I was eating a lot more junk food, and I was eating it fairly frequently. Another awesome workout; Lean mass gains; AtLarge Nitrean Challenge. AtLarge Nutrition Nitrean

I had another excellent workout (pecs/delts/triceps) yesterday! While my strength is nowhere near what it was when I was 200+ pounds and bulking, I’ve managed to increase my strength pretty consistently since my 2011 cut ended more than 34 weeks ago. Great workout on Monday; Stray dog update. Stray dog captured by one of the security cameras.

I was in such a rush yesterday morning that I forgot to mention what an outstanding leg workout I had on Monday. After a week of pretty uninspired training, it felt good to get in the gym and kill it again. I am doing a lot of single leg work right now, including Bulgarian Split Squats, which are just killer. Enjoyed some incredible weather on Saturday’s 20 mile mountain bike ride. I've seen lots of horseback riders the past few weeks.

The weather on Saturday was perfect: clear blue skies, temperatures in the mid 70s (F) and sunny with a gentle cool breeze blowing. You know you’re feeling lazy when the weather is practically straight out of a fairy tail and you still don’t want to venture outdoors.
