McCormick Grill Mates Montreal Chicken Seasoning

McCormick Grill Mates Montreal Chicken Seasoning

In addition to the many hot sauces that I use to keep my cutting diet interesting, I also like to use different seasonings on my chicken breasts before tossing them on the grill. Dry seasonings are a fantastic zero calorie method of making boring old chicken breasts fresh and exciting.

The last time my mom came for a visit she turned me on to a great dry spice mix called McCormick Grill Mates Montreal Steak Seasoning. Despite the name (I never actually put this stuff on steak–you can’t improve on perfection), Montreal Steak seasoning is fantastic on chicken breasts: I simply sprinkle the seasoning on the chicken breasts, add some extra black pepper, hit the breasts with a blast of Pam cooking spray and then grill them as I usually do.

The other day I was at Costco buying another million pounds of chicken breasts, and I saw McCormick Grill Mates Montreal Chicken Seasoning on the shelf (it’s actually cheaper on Amazon, so I’ll be buying it there from now on). I picked up a container, and yesterday I tried it for the first time on my chicken. It was awesome!!! I can’t wait to have another breast later today. 🙂

If you are bored with chicken breasts, definitely give these two spice mixes a try. I think you’ll be very happy with them.

I’m taking a personal day off from work today. I’m very excited because this afternoon all my new SRAM/Truvativ XO bike parts will arrive! UPS always gets here right around 3:00 PM, which is my usual weight training time. I know that once the stuff arrives I’m going to want to get right to work installing everything, and so I’m going to do my workout around 11:45 this morning.

The upgrades I’ll be installing are significant, and many of the repair tasks I’ll be performing for the very first time. I’ve really done my homework, and I’m confident that I will competently perform the installs. Hopefully everything will work perfectly when I’m done and I’ll be able to hit the trails tomorrow morning on my new steed.

I’ll certainly have lots of pictures and maybe a few war stories to share in tomorrow’s blog. 🙂
