Met my diet and training goals for the week!

Managed to destroy my American Classic rear wheel; Today’s leg workout. I get to tend the rabbits, George?

I really hate the phrase “Full body cardio workout”; Best cardio machine. My Schwinn 231 Recumbent Bike has been seeing a lot of action this week.

Tropical Storm Debbie (which has been downgraded to a Tropical Depression) has finally moved over the state, but we’re still getting plenty of rain and some pretty strong wind. You can’t out train a poor diet; Post-vacation boot camp going well! It's OK: I hit the treadmill this morning!

By the time my vacation was over, I was feeling noticeably lethargic and less than 100%. When I say “less than 100%”, I don’t mean I was feeling sick, just… weak, I suppose. Vacation report; Post-vacation boot camp. I tried cleaning and lubing the rear shock before I replaced the seals, but no joy.

I’m back from my 9 day vacation. Man, that went fast! Things didn’t go quite the way I’d planned, but I made the best of it and had a great time while I was off. Hot and brutal 20 mile mtb ride yesterday; Strava Suffer Score. There were quite a few ecological burn sites yesterday, many still smoldering.

It’s been a long time since I’ve done a mountain biking ride longer than 10-ish miles. I decided to give my legs a break after Monday’s awesome ride and didn’t go mountain biking yesterday, but at the same time I wasn’t in the mood for a day off from exercise. Outstanding ride yesterday, and another personal record. One of the downed trees across the trail at Wekiwa.

Last Thursday when I rode at Wekiwa (and encountered a black bear!), I shaved 11 seconds off my personal best time on the first segment. Because I’ve been timing myself on that segment for such a long time, I was extremely happy with such a large improvement on my best time.
