Taking a personal day to work on spring projects.

Yesterday was one of the few days in a long time during which I performed no real physical activity. I wonder if that’s why I slept so poorly last night? I woke up around 2:00 AM (actually Loki woke me up because he needed to go out back), and I didn’t fall back asleep until sometime around 4:00 AM. I still got up at my usual time of 6:00 AM, however.

Despite missing out on a couple hours of sleep I’m feeling extremely motivated this morning. I’ve decided to take a personal day from work and get back to tackling some of my spring projects. I made excellent progress over this past weekend, and I’m eager to build on that progress.

Today I’d like to pressure wash the backyard fence, the back patio & the patio furniture, clean the grill and start fertilizing all the plants, trees & palms. The fertilization alone is a huge job, and not a very fun one, so I’d like to get that out of the way ASAP.

BTW, Lisa went to the doctor yesterday and got some antibiotics and some other meds. She was running a fever and definitely has the flu. I tried to talk her out of it, but she ignored me and went into work this morning. Hopefully she’ll just knock out what she needs to do and come home. She needs to rest.

As for me, I’m still not feeling 100%, but I’m far from sick. Today’s projects will keep me active, but they are not at all taxing.
