If you’re up in the northeast US I suggest that you close this tab and don’t read today’s blog. Stay warm.

I will be planting multicolored Pentas, like these, in the bed where the new Foxtail palm is located.

The weather is going to be absolutely beautiful this weekend, and I’m going to be outside working both days from sunrise until sunset. There’s no way I’m going to complete what remains of my spring project list this weekend, but I am going to make a serious dent.

This morning I’m going to redesign the front bed to the right of the walkway where the new Foxtail palm is located (see yesterday’s blog for pictures/details). This will be completed today.

I’m also going to remove a few plants from the bed to the left of the walkway and open things up a bit there, clearing the way for some colorful annuals. The annuals won’t be planted until next weekend.

Lisa is feeling much better, and so I’ve got a partner today. We’re going to tackle the big job of trimming and weeding the backyard gardens and the gardens surrounding the pond.

Next weekend we should be ready to mulch (HUGE job), plant all the annuals and plant our herbs, peppers and tomatoes. I’ll be working on some of the other remaining projects next week in my spare time.

The sun is coming up, time to get started!
