My first time-traveling blog; Off to the Ride of The Living Dead.
I’m cheating. Even though this blog was published on Saturday morning, I actually wrote it at 6:30 PM on Friday evening. The reason I’ve pulled these shenanigans is because I have to be up very early tomorrow morning (er, I mean this morning) in order to make it to the Santos MTB park by 8:00 AM for the 2013 Ride of The Living Dead. I figured I’d write the blog tonight (um, I mean last night) so that I’ll have one less thing to worry about tomorrow morning. Wait–THIS morning.
Man, time travel sucks. The rest of this blog will presuppose that it’s today. I mean tomorrow. Whatever, you figure it out. I’m barely a writer, don’t expect me to make any sense of Novikov self-consistency principle.
Anyway, the whole idea behind this crackpot idea of writing my blog a day early was so that I could avoid rushing around half asleep and doing something dumb, like forgetting my Camelbak. 😐
Mike Simmons and I were going to ride up to Ocala together this morning, but yesterday he somehow managed to nab a coveted camping space at Santos. The weather is so nice that Simmons had no choice but to jump all over that. So he blew off work, loaded up his camper and made the drive yesterday.
Mike just got back from Vegas, and told me that he is feeling about 80%. That’s not bad. I always thought that if you get back from Vegas feeling “about 80%”, that means you didn’t party 79% hard enough.
Looking forward to the ride. Hope to see some of you there!
