This morning I’m saying goodbye to an old friend: my Titan strength training machine.

The Titan and I certainly have been through a lot together over the past six years! This is the machine I used through what I suppose most would label as my “bodybuilding” years. I’ve had countless incredible workouts on the Titan, and I made some very nice gains. The Titan played a very important role in my transformation, and for that reason it will always be remembered fondly.

Over the past week I tore down the Titan (see captions):

The Titan is torn down and ready to transport. The two main sides of the Titan are extremely heavy (I left them partially assembled to make assembly easier for the new owner), and will require at least three people to move each side. I left one of the top crossbars lightly bolted in place until the crew arrives this morning.

More dissembled Titan stuff. I'm including one of my 300-pound Olympic barbell sets (I have several). The dumbbells are staying.

A bunch of Titan attachments and parts. Lisa will be happy to have all of this stuff out of our formal dining room!

The Titan’s new owner–who I’m happy to say is a local friend of mine–will be here this morning to transport it to its new home.

So my home gym will look a little sparse for a short while. Soon, however, the Titan’s worthy successor will arrive: The X9 Hybrid Home Gym! The X9 is a brand new, modern and full-featured home gym that drastically improves on the Titan’s shortcomings while offering many new and unique features. I am super excited about the X9, and I anxiously await its arrival:

While I wait for the X9’s arrival, I will still be able to train using a bench, my barbell sets, my dumbbells and so on.

Once the X9 arrives (and I have a few months to really get to know it), you can expect my very detailed and comprehensive full review. Stay tuned!
