We had family staying with us this past weekend, and I went a wee bit overboard with the dietary indulgences…
We kicked things off with a trip to our favorite Mexican restaurant on Saturday. I ordered the steak fajitas, and I ate every last bite along with approximately 340 pounds of chips. I washed it all down with a margarita.
The next day we all went up to the theater to watch a movie, which of course was accompanied by plenty of freshly-popped popcorn.
I wish I could say that was the worst of it, but that would be a lie. Last night I grilled delicious sirloin burgers, which I served with french fries.
Everything was great, and we had a fun family weekend, but right now all I can think about is A) riding my bike, and B) chicken breasts, brown rice and broccoli.
I’m going to count yesterday’s cheat meal as this week’s cheat meal. In other words, no splurge meal this coming weekend. So, for the next couple of weeks I’ll be eating 100% clean and healthy, and no alcohol. It’s not like I have to do this, I really just want to do it.
I’m also dying to get some miles on the bike in this morning, and I’m in the mood for pain. It’s hammer time.
