Memorial Day thanks
Short blog today. I’ve got a bit of a cold going–sore throat, sinuses–and I want to get my bike ride in before I manage to talk myself out of it. I’m definitely not in the mood to ride today, but I’ve got to keep that riding streak alive: 146 days, and counting!
I would like to express my gratitude for all the men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice for my country. I urge my fellow Americans to join me in taking some time out of the holiday weekend to remember what this day is really about. Regardless of any political differences, I hope we can all agree on one thing: we would not enjoy the many freedoms we often take for granted without the brave men and women who have fought and died to protect them.
To those who have served, those who continue to serve and their families, thank you.
