I have been hurting on the bike this week… Zone Distribution chart from Monday's ride.

I have been feeling way off almost all week long. I suspect it’s a combination of the caloric reduction while continuing to train hard, along with the heat. The heat this week has been nothing short of hellish. Taking a look at my rides this week… On Monday I did a solo 50 kilometer (30.7 mile) ride with an average wattage output of 209 watts (Zone 2/Endurance). My average speed was 32 km/h (20.1 MPH)… [Read more]

Iced coffee as a delicious calorie-free treat! I made this iced coffee yesterday afternoon when I had a craving for something sweet. Zero calories, cooling and tastes great!

I am a coffee and tea lover. You know, I had a great time on my vacation (see yesterday’s blog for the Good, the Bad and the Ugly), but I’m a little disappointed in myself for straying so far from the path during those two… [Read more]

Post-vacation report: the Good, the Bad and the Ugly Still unavailable for comment.

“A couple steps back…” ~The Man With No Name Hello, friends! I enjoyed my time away, but I sure have missed writing every morning. It’s great to be back! As you can see, Blondie is making an apropos appearance in my post-vacation report. Let’s get down to the Good, the Bad and the Ugly… The Good. I had a fun and, for the most part, extremely relaxing couple of weeks off. That’s not to say… [Read more]
