Tough training ride this morning…
Quickie this morning, I’ve got a bike to ride. 🙂
I did a real easy ride yesterday, with one short sprint. I came very close to a couple of new wattage output PRs on that sprint, but my legs didn’t quite have it in them yesterday. Hopefully my wheels are ready for war this morning, because today’s ride is probably not going to be an easy one. The ride is 106 miles, and I am expecting a quick pace with only a small handful of us sharing the work up front. Fine by me, I love hard training rides and the more calories I can burn today the better.
We’ll be rolling out in fairly cool 45° temperatures, but it will warm up into a very nice day with highs in the low 70s. The original forecast called for winds from the north, which would have given us a nice tailwind on the return trip, but now it appears that we’re looking at a crosswind with winds from the east. So, it looks like yet another long ride with virtually no tailwind respites. I can appreciate the training aspect of headwinds and crosswinds, but I certainly have been unlucky lately when it comes to catching a nice tailwind.
I need to get my stuff together and get out the door. Look for my weekly 2015 cut report tomorrow morning. In the meantime, I hope you have a great day!
