Final day of 2015 cut; On vacation!

Whew. This has been a toughie.

The past nine weeks have been a mixed bag for me. I always enjoy the process of being strict while I cut, and this year was no different in that respect, but this cut seemed tougher than most. I’ve been extremely hungry pretty much non-stop, I’ve experienced quite a few days (especially these past couple of weeks) during which my energy levels have been sub-par, and I’ve been cranky as hell. Thanks to everyone who has supported me and put up with me.

Out of officeI’m happy to say that after today this one will be in the books! Not only will I get to resume maintenance level calories, I’ll also be able to scratch a few culinary itches, enjoy a cold beer or two with my friends and generally get back to a more balanced lifestyle.

Oh, and added to that, I’m on vacation starting today! Being able to relax my diet after nine weeks of ultra-strictness combined with two weeks off is enough to put anyone in a great mood. 🙂

I’ll be wrapping up my cut today with a 103 mile ride, and my diet will remain strict for this final day.

Look for my 2015 cut wrap-up with all my finial stats in tomorrow’s blog. See you then!

  1. Any chance you’ll be logging a few days worth of maintenance meals on MyFitnessPal as you transition to a higher caloric intake? I’d be interested to see what your maintenance level consumption looks like.

    • I’m going to be on vacation, and after the past nine weeks of being so strict logging my meals is the last thing I want to do. Also, my diet over the next week will be very atypical since I’m on vacation. Perhaps when I return I’ll log a week or so of my maintenance diet (it’s not much different than my cutting diet, just more calories and more variety for dinner).

      • Yes, sorry I should have clarified. I was referring to your post vacation diet.

And I don’t blame you, I wouldn’t want to log every ounce of theater popcorn either 🙂 Enjoy your well deserved break!
