Stress taking its toll, trying to roll with it.
I didn’t have much time to ride yesterday–just a short time before work–but I made the best of it and hit the road for about an hour of mostly sweet spot interval training. I felt okay, but not great.
Right now I’ll take “okay”, because I’ve been feeling extremely off my game on the bike over the past two or three weeks. I think the root of my problem is stress. Stress, of course, often creates other issues, such as lack of sleep, that affect health and athletic performance.
I’m trying to hold it together, but yesterday was a particularly tough one and I’m definitely feeling a little (a lot) overwhelmed right now. I think the best thing I can is keep my diet clean, stay focused on the solving the problems, take time to exercise and do my best to get a good night of sleep each night.
Right now I’m going to get the exercise part of today’s plan underway, and hit the road for a solid 60 mile training ride with my buddy Paul.
