In for Monday’s race; Amazon Prime membership is $73 this weekend
After posting yesterday’s blog, I did my best to rearrange my busy Monday schedule so that I could take the morning (and part of the afternoon) off. I was somewhat successful, but there are a couple of things that remain up in the air.
I decided that those things will either be resolved, or they will just have to wait a few extra hours. It’s a holiday, after all! I am registered for the race, and I’ll be there. Can’t wait! 🙂
Most of you know that I’m an Amazon-a-holic. I buy all kinds of stuff from Amazon, and the yearly Prime membership more than pays for itself just from the free shipping alone (we even have free Prime same day delivery here in Central Florida now). In addition to the free shipping, I use most of the other Prime services included with my membership, too: Prime streaming video, Prime music, Prime Early Access and Kindle books.
Here’s what Prime currently includes (click to enlarge):
Prime music, in particular, is amazing. I use Prime music every day, especially with my Amazon Echo (which is the coolest electronic gadget I’ve owned in a long, long time). I also use Amazon Echo for home automation (“Alexa, kitchen lights 30%“, “Alexa, trigger night mode“, etc.) I know it’s not fitness related, but I’ll probably do a blog on the Amazon Echo at some point just because it’s so damn amazing.
Anyway, Prime is on sale this weekend only for just $73 (normally $99). This sale price is only for new Prime members, so if you’ve got a current Prime membership you’re out of luck… that is unless you’re lucky enough, as I am, to be up for renewal within the next week or so. I called Amazon this morning, cancelled my current Prime membership (which would have expired next week), and then immediately purchased a new year for $73.00.
If you’re not a Prime member, you’ll definitely want to jump on this deal. The special only runs through Sunday, January 17 at 11:59 p.m. PST, at which time the yearly price returns to $99.
