Getting this year’s broken toe out of the way early…

I generally like to break my big toe once per calendar year, and so this year I was delighted to have done so nice and early!
I actually broke the toe last week, but I wanted to wait until the injury was fully ripened before taking a photo:
I know many of you are in the process of cutting fat for the New Year, and I doubt anyone reading this is hungry right now. You’re welcome.
So here’s this year’s broken toe story…
Lisa’s lower back was bothering her, so–like the amazing husband that I am–I gave her the most epic back massage in the entire history of back massages. Seriously, angels were singing above me while I worked. When I completed the massage, Lisa’s back was better than new.
Feeling quite pleased with myself for being so goddamn awesome, I sprung out of bed. The next thing I knew I was on the floor writhing in pain. No good deed goes unpunished.
You see, there is a heavy staircase we have set up for the dogs on Lisa’s side of the bed. I am unaccustomed to exiting the bed from Lisa’s side and, well, you can do the math from there.
Walking sucks, but it’s getting better. Cycling is not too bad, although I do feel it when I’m doing hard efforts.
Happy Friday. Be safe out there.
I think I would have made up a story..

Actually that was made up, I didn’t want to brag about rescuing all those kittens from the burning building.

That’s so painful. I usually try to whack my little toe off my foot.

Oh, you poor thing! I hope Lisa waited on you hand and foot….lol!

I broke my big toe 5 times, now it needs to have 3 bone spurs removed. Take care of that! I get my toe Sawzawed off on Feb 15! 6-8 weeks on Zwift’ coming soon….
