Good week so far, water weight gone; Cheats to be optional.
The first week of my cut is going very well. I kicked things off on Monday morning at a very bloated 182.4 pounds, and yesterday morning my weight was 178.4 pounds (down 4.0 pounds). This morning my weight is identical to yesterday’s weight, and I only got up once last night to urinate. The excess water weight is definitely gone. I’m already looking and feeling a little leaner which, of course, is always nice. I expect to see reductions in most of my measurements by this Sunday when I do my weekly report.
So that means I’ve got 13.4 pounds to go, perhaps a little more if I decide to cut below 165 pounds. I should be able to wrap this cut up early to mid April.
Almost as soon as this cut started I mentioned that I was not going to consume any alcohol at all while I’m cutting. I’m glad that I’m doing that, as alcohol and cutting body fat simply don’t mix.In addition, I’ve decided that I am going to make my weekly splurge meal purely optional. I was looking back at my diet on my last cut, and I saw that I only had one cheat meal the entire cut (and that was my Birthday celebration). I probably won’t have any cheat meals during this cut, but I’ll leave the door open for one.
I did consume a splurge snack once per week (movie theater popcorn) on my last cut, and I will allow myself that again on this cut. It didn’t hurt me at all; in fact, I think it probably helped me.
I’m feeling good! The timing of this cut couldn’t have been better. With everything going on in my personal and professional life, this is a great time to focus on my health. If I look and feel my best, good things will happen. 🙂
