Today's News
Yesterday I got all my projects and errands done pretty quickly, so Lisa and I had plenty of time to enjoy the new home theater lobby before taking in a couple of films. It was a very nice afternoon and evening, and the popcorn was phenomenal. In fact, the smell of the popcorn was so enticing that our older shepherd mix, Loki (who practically never leaves the ground floor), suddenly appeared at the top of the stairs! Loki quickly identified the source of the smell, ran into the lobby and became absolutely transfixed by the wondrous popcorn machine. He was well rewarded for his stair-climbing efforts.
If you are interested in learning how to make theater-quality popcorn in your home, I talk about it on my home theater page (in the lobby section). By the way, you don't have to have a commercial popper; the Whirly Pop is an inexpensive stovetop popper that works great (I used one for years). Of course movie theater popcorn is very calorically dense, so you probably don't want to get carried away and start eating it every night. Personally I allow myself a huge tub of popcorn once per week. All things in moderation...
Today is Lisa's Birthday! I think she wants to go out to eat, and then pick up some paint for her new library room (another project we've been working on).
Hey, it's her birthday and if she wants to paint, then I'm right there with her. We'll see how she feels about painting after she has a couple of Margaritas in her.
Tonight we're having family over to hang out and maybe watch a movie.
Tomorrow I'll finally be able to resume weight training. I CAN'T WAIT!! I'll talk more about what I'll be doing in the gym in tomorrow's update.
Enjoy your day!

Dear JSF Members and Guests, When shopping online, please consider using the JSF Amazon Mall. The JSF Amazon Mall is a storefront for Amazon.com, but final checkout is still done directly with Amazon. You'll enjoy the exact same low prices, selection, security and benefits just as if you were shopping on their regular site. In fact, when you search for a product and that product is available from multiple sellers, the JSF Mall software automatically shows you the item from the seller with the lowest price first. This feature makes getting the best deal a snap!
When you shop Amazon.com through the JSF Amazon Mall you are helping to support this site and the forums and it costs absolutely nothing! Making your Amazon purchases through the JSF Mall is an excellent, no-cost way to show your support for JSF! If you prefer to shop directly on Amazon's site, you can still help JSF by using the Amazon Affiliate link before you start shopping on Amazon. It's that easy!
Thanks, P.S. Have a look at my "Favorite Things" thread if you want to check out some of the products I love and use every day! |
Before, During & Current Pictures
These two pictures were taken on the very first day of my transformation--January 6, 2003.
These two pictures were taken just a few short months later. I'd lost over 50 pounds of fat, and added muscle. Amazing changes are possible in a relatively short period of time if you are willing to work hard and dedicate yourself.
These pictures show how I look after over four years dedicated to a healthy lifestyle.
Skeptical? Please read this.
